Social conditions have been changing rapidly in recent years. It has become urgent to build a new production plant in Japan in order to avoid various risks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, expand domestic production, and promote BCP and local production for local consumption. Akita Prefecture is an area with few natural disasters and is actively promoting the introduction of renewable energy power generation, so we decided to build a factory in Yokote City, Akita Prefecture.
Akita Plant will be an integrated connector production facility with production processes including pressing, molding, plating, and assembly, with approximately 30 pressing and molding machines planned to be installed. The connector assembly line is planned to eventually have around 150 machines, and five to six 60-meter plating lines will be introduced. Based on concepts such as a smart factory and excellent energy-saving performance, we plan to develop high-added-value production activities.
