Notice of Introducing Large-Scale Machinery for In-House Production of Large Connector Resin Molding

On June 17, 2022, IRISO Electronics (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa, President & Representative Director: Hitoshi Suzuki) introduced large-scale machinery in the Ibaraki Factory. The introduction of this machinery makes it possible to handle molded products for large connectors, to accelerate the development and production of products such as large custom I/O connectors, and to promote manufacturing that includes design and R&D.

Support for molding of large connectors

IRISO Electronics has introduced a large 250-ton molding machine in the Ibaraki Factory. This will enable us to perform in-house production of resin molding for large connectors, including large custom I/O connectors that are used around in-vehicle powertrains and that are becoming increasingly electrified.

Good cycle of development

It is now possible to achieve timely cooperation between product design and production technology, as well as immediate feedback of reliability evaluation. Utilizing production technology cultivated in-house, IRISO Electronics is constantly expanding the variety of products that we support. This enables us to deliver the optimum products which meet the needs of our customers. Furthermore, we are capable of development with a short lead time for products such as custom I/O connectors. The ability to immediately response to requests will facilitate discussions of specifications with customers.

Realization of high quality, reduced cost, and high QCD through integrated production

In addition to reducing manufacturing costs through in-house production, we are constructing an optimal quality control system through integrated production. We are also able to reduce production lead time, and have achieved an extremely high QCD through in-house production.
