Announcement of lineup of compact connectors for wearable and mobile devices
On December 16, 2024, IRISO (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Representative Director: Hitoshi Suzuki) announced a lineup of miniature connectors for wearable and mobile devices.
In recent years, the emergence of a wide variety of mobile and wearable products and IoT devices, along with the development of various sensing technologies, has made it possible to obtain a wide range of information. It is expected that new wearable devices will continue to appear and become more widespread in the future, and this will increase the need for small, low profile connectors that support high-speed transmission.

Proposal 1: 0.4mm pitch Floating Connector
Proposed products: 10126 series, 10136 series, 11010 series, 11007 series
The “10126B/S Series” supports Floating structure and high-speed transmission of up to 8 Gbps*, while the “11007S Series” is smaller and specialized for high-speed transmission, supporting up to 10 Gbps*. These products are tailored to the application and greatly improve reliability and ease of assembly.

Proposal 2: 0.3mm pitch FPC/FFC connector
Proposed product: 9671 series
A small FPC/FFC connector that can be used to connect to devices such as small LCDs, backlights, and switches. The 9671 series is a low profile type with a 0.3 mm pitch and a product height of less than 1.0 mm, and is compatible with 11 to 51 pin counts. This product has a flip-lock structure that improves the ease of locking after FPC insertion.

To solve the issues of EMI countermeasures and strengthening the ground, the industry’s smallest class “16124 series” that can be used in small devices uses a copper alloy with excellent conductivity and springiness, and can be used for device connections other than ground connections.
