Early Stage　Aim for electroric parts manufacturer

foundation 〜 1976

  • 1966

    Dec

    Established IRISO Electronics Co., Ltd. in Shimonumabe, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa.

  • 1973

    Apr

    Developed wrapping pins whereby wire is wrapped around to make a connection on a PCB, and began producing and selling them.

  • 1975

    Jan

    Developed jumper pins which connect circuits on the parts side of PCBs, and began producing and selling them.

  • Dec

    Began producing and selling pin headers (male connectors) that enrich the variety of connections by packaging resin parts and pins.

  • 1977

    Jan

    Developed check pins which check a PCB's behavior on itself, and began producing and selling them.

  • May

    Moved the headquarters office and plant to Takatsu-ku, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa.

  • Sep

    Developed connector pins with a tapered tip, and began producing and selling them.

  • 1978

    Dec

    Established IRS(S)PTE. Ltd. in Singapore for producing and selling pins and multiple-pin connectors.

  • 1980

    Mar

    Established IRS PRECISION Co., Ltd. in Nakahara-ku, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa for producing and selling precision metal machining equipment.

  • 1981

    Nov

    Opened Osaka Sales Office in Daito-shi, Osaka. (Moved to Chuo-ku, Osaka in February, 1990.)

  • 1982

    Jul

    Began producing and selling jumper connectors which have a switching function, and made a full-scale entry into the connector field.

  • 1983

    Nov

    Changed the name from IRS Precision Co., Ltd. to Ibaraki IRISO Electronics Co., Ltd., and transferred the headquarters from Nakahara-ku, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa to Omiya-machi, Naka-gun, Ibaraki (present Ibaraki Plant) at the same time.

  • 1985

    Feb

    Began producing and selling board-to-board connectors which are for connecting two PCBs.

  • 1986

    Feb

    Opened Higashikanto Sales Office in Omiya-machi, (now Hitachi Omiya-shi), Naka-gun Ibaraki.

  • Jul

    Opened Tohoku Sales Office in Mizusawa-shi (now Oshu-shi), Iwate.

    Dec

    Began producing and selling connectors for flexible printed circuits (FPC connectors) that connect flexible PCBs.

  • 1992

    Jan

    Opened Philippines Office in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines.
    (Moved to Muntinlupa, Metro Manila in June, 1999.)

  • 1993

    Jan

    Opened Hong Kong Sales Office in Hong Kong.

  • Jun

    Established Shanghai IRISO Electronics Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China for producing and selling pins and multiple-pin connectors.

  • 1994

    Apr

    Established IRISO U.S.A., Inc. in Chicago, Illinois, U.S. for selling pins and multiple-pin connectors.
    (Moved to Michigan in Aug, 2004)

    Registered over-the-counter stock with the Securities Dealers Association of Japan(present Tokyo Stock Exchange JASDAQ Market).
